Neighborhood Cleanup!

  • Eastmoreland Neighborhood Association Portland, OR, 97202 United States (map)

The Annual Eastmoreland Neighborhood Clean-up event will take place this year between 9am - 1pm on Saturday, September 13. This year’s event will be held in the Westmoreland Park Parking Lot at the SW corner of Westmoreland Park, at the corner of SE Nehalem St. and SE 23rd Ave. - click the (map) link at left.  We will be accepting a range of materials so that residents can responsibly dispose of a number of materials including:

  • Household waste

  • Electronics (in partnership with Free Geek)

  • Household items (in partnership with ReBuilding Center)

    • Doors

    • Windows

    • Lighting

    • Tools (hand and working power tools)

    • Working appliances

    • Hardware

    • Bricks (no mortar) and pavers

    • Complete boxes of: fasteners, tile, insulation

This is a great opportunity to get rid of those items in your yard, basement, attic, garage, and elsewhere in your home that are ready for disposal.

ITEM DONATIONS

We are partnering this year with two great non-profit organizations (ReBuilding Center and Free Geek) who will accept usable items in good condition.

ReBuilding Center - Household materials, appliances, tools

Free Geek - Electronics (read more on their website)

Please note that these organizations will triage items, but if they are not accepted by either organization, they will go into the dumpster. We will not have the ability to seek out other recipients, so keep in mind that if you want to ensure your item is donated and not discarded, you may want to explore other options.

OTHER IMPORTANT INFORMATION

Please note that we cannot accept any hazardous waste materials or contractor loads. Additionally, we will not be able to accept styrofoam for recycling this year. Questions about what we can or can't accept? Please email us.

The cost is: $40+ depending on load size. All proceeds benefit ENA.

Want to get involved? We need volunteers. Please reach out to us at cleanup@eastmorelandpdx.org if you’d like to volunteer or have questions about the event.
